Complete Guide: Using Veo Automation for Batch Google Flow Generation

Veo Automation is the most complete free browser extension for automating Google Flow (labs.google/fx/tools/flow). Whether you want to bulk-generate VEO 3.1 videos, create hundreds of Nano Banana images, or combine reference frames with text prompts in Ingredients to Video mode, this guide walks you through every feature so you can run your first fully automated batch in under five minutes.

Installing Veo Automation

Getting started with Veo Automation takes about 30 seconds. Open the Chrome Web Store (or Firefox Add-ons for Firefox users), search for "Veo Automation", and click Add to Chrome. Once installed, pin the extension to your toolbar for quick access. The extension only activates on labs.google — it has no access to any other website you visit, and it never collects or transmits your data.

Choosing the Right Generation Mode

Veo Automation offers five generation modes, each built around a different creative workflow.

Text to Video is the simplest mode: type or paste a prompt, and the extension generates a VEO video directly. You can choose from four video models — Omni Flash for the fastest turnaround, Veo 3.1 Lite for lightweight quality, Veo 3.1 Fast for a balance of speed and fidelity, and Veo 3.1 Quality for the highest output quality Google Flow offers.

Frame to Video lets you supply a reference image as the starting frame of your video. You can also provide a start and end frame pair, giving the model clear visual anchors for the motion. This is ideal for product animations, character movements, and scene transitions.

Ingredients to Video — known in Google Flow as Components to Video — is designed for creative remixing. Upload up to six ingredient images, configure how many should be used per prompt (1–6), and the extension automatically distributes them across your entire prompt list in sequence.

Text to Image uses Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, or Imagen 4 to batch-generate images from text. All five aspect ratios are available: 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, and 1:1.

Image to Image guides Nano Banana generation with reference images you upload. Pair one or two reference images with each prompt, and the model blends their visual style with your text description.

Setting Up Your Prompt List

Veo Automation accepts prompts in three ways. You can type or paste them directly into the prompt text area — just separate each prompt with a blank line, and the extension treats every paragraph as a separate generation job. For larger batches, upload a plain .txt file with one prompt per paragraph, or import an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file where each row in the first column is a prompt (the extension skips standard header rows automatically).

Once your prompts are loaded, the per-prompt preview panel shows exactly which image is paired with which prompt in image modes, giving you clear visual confirmation before you hit Run All.

Configuring Output Quality and Downloads

For video generation, Veo Automation can auto-download your outputs in 720p (Original Size), 1080p Upscaled, 4K Upscaled, or as an Animated GIF. For image generation, choose from 1K (Original), 2K Upscaled, or 4K Upscaled. You can also select No Download if you only want to generate without saving.

Set a Save to Folder name to organise batches into sub-folders inside your Downloads directory. Enable Auto-rename files to have each output named with its prompt index and a slug of the prompt text — making it easy to match files to their prompts later.

Automation Settings: Delay, Retries, and Concurrency

The Random Delay setting lets you configure a minimum and maximum wait time between consecutive prompts. A small delay (for example, 10–20 seconds) helps the extension behave more naturally on Google Flow and avoids running into rate limits.

Max Retries (configurable from 0 to 10) tells the extension how many times to re-attempt a prompt that fails before marking it as Failed and moving on. This is especially useful for long overnight runs where occasional timeouts are expected.

Concurrent Prompts allows multiple prompts to process at the same time, so your batch completes faster.

Monitoring Your Batch Run

Once you click ▶ Run All, the Prompt Queue section shows each prompt's live status. A pulsing cyan indicator and percentage bar shows generation progress for the active prompt. Completed prompts display a green checkmark and 100% bar. Failed prompts show a red indicator with the error. The header status pill also reflects the overall run state: Queued, Running, Done, or Error.

At any point you can click ■ Stop to cancel the current run. The extension gracefully stops after the current prompt completes its generation or download, whichever comes first.

Privacy and Safety

Veo Automation works entirely on your local machine. Your prompts, images, and generated videos are never sent to any external server. The extension's Chrome Debugger API usage is limited to simulating trusted mouse clicks on Google Flow — technically necessary because React's event system ignores standard JavaScript-created events. No page data is read, extracted, or transmitted through the debugger. The extension has zero access to any website other than labs.google.
